Oh? You pretty things

I like movies. All kinds of movies. I guess my taste is a little bit strange but, nonetheless, I like to criticise according to my taste.
A lot of my 'movie time' is dedicated to animated movies. So here I MUST mention Shrek. I absolutely adore the first part, the second is O.K., the third is hillarious, and the last is not worth watching, unfortunatelly. I was so very disapointed with the Shrek forever after. First of all, the story is an extension that hasn't got a lot in common with the other three. Rumpelstiltskin is a totally new caracter, without previus apperance. Well it's O.K. becouse it's a fairy tale subject but I miss the linking point. In the first Shrek, he meets Donkey, quite spontaneously. The Lord Farquaad plays the evil part of the story. In the second another main character is introduced, Puss in Boots who tries to kill Shrek, hired by the king. The ploters are the Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming and for a while also the Frog King. Further, in the third there are several new caracters like Arty, Merlin, the Poisoned apple group etc. The lead darksider (:D) is Prince Charming. So far the caracters are very connected with the story and at one point quite predictable. As when they come to Far far away, it's obvious that fiona should have a fairy godmather, that prince Charming must be disapointed, that a tinageer soon to be king attends a school and that where is Arthur there should be Merlin, Lancelot, Guinevere... All this is coherent, the story has a red line, the caratcers are all already known, and those who are introduced, are brought to picture (:)) with a reason. So I was quite shocked when all of a sudden Shrek feels loved a little too mouch and freaks out and there, out of the blue comes Rumpelstiltskin, the evil dwarf or whatever he is and Shrek sells his soul in a second. Well I would bear that part, but the problem is that it leeds to a total disaster and destruction of the story and puts aside all the other three shreks. It's possible they wanted to freshen it up and not annoy with already built and well known caracters. But with it they started a new story, where Shrek is on another quest to meet everybody all over again. I found it boring. And also, there are few things that don't seem to fit in my previous Shrek-world; Firstly, Why did Fiona escape, when Prince Charming whas on his rute to the castle in that time? And how did she escape the dragon, or at least release it? Secondly, I can't figure out how come there are so many ogers in that area? We didn't come across another in the first trilogy. And there were many, many ogers. Thirdly, I can't understand where did Fiona stumble upon Puss and made him her pet. It would be more credible if the Puss were fighting along her side, as they were in war. Moreover, the Rumpelstiltskin has magnificant powers so how come he is not famous before, introduced in one of the other parts? Well I know the answer to that. They had to invent him and the whole story, to earn some more, so they didn't sweat a lot about it. I think they could do it more professionaly, develope the story on, maybe with Lancelot as the bad guy, or Arty misleading the country, Merlin going mad, the princesses being jealous, one of the babys escaping, having troubles growing up, or mischiefs of the ogre babys and drgon-donkey babys, etc. There are million possibilities that would work better, at least I think so. I got cerried away with my disappointnment.
Well, the conclusion, as shows the picture: Rumpelstiltskin is trying too hard to grab atention while Shrek represents me, wondering what the h* were they doing?
Another 'recent' movie, Wall-e, has cought my atention. I adore the lack of dialogue and the usance of expression to tell the story. It brings greater feelings, for me. I also applaude the theme, on one side carelessness fot the earth by human race and leasurely lives, conducted by the fat-boneless creatures. It's a bittersweet feeling, funny but also scary and on moments sooo true. On the other hand, there are robots, who are restless, hard working and loving. The way Wall-e cares for nature is admirable and sometimes resembles those few who still care, love and see the beauty in things sorrounding us. Also, the piles of dirt and trash made me lough, only for a moment, before i realised that they are not fictional. I think it's a five star animation movie, who should be obligatory for all children- maybe they should do seaquels, create an educational serie. It should be a part of education, I guess. There is nothing left to say, except ; obligatory to watch!

O.K. I've got new ideas what to write about but it's late and I'm tired and going to bed.
